As a writer, I have the joy of being in community with other writers. I'm delighted to boost some of my fellows here!

Although I love and admire many well-regarded and commercially-successful professional writers, I would like to take this opportunity to boost folks who I adore and know personally. Please read and boost these folks!

Abigail Byrd-Stapleton (WEBSITE)

• Her poetry inspires me. Her use of language is sparse, fascinating, gorgeous, occasionally brutal. She also creates zines and flash fiction and happens to offer some of the most keen-eyed critique I have found.

Bianca Matthews

• Her work is sharply observed, and yet somehow vulnerable. She writes plays and short fiction (and I guess whatever else interests her), but that's what I know her for the best. Check out "Baby Blue" in Pictura Journal (with some tissues maybe?) or order her work in Issue 4 of Saving Daylight HERE.

Rachel Kolar (WEBSITE)

• She writes with true breadth, ranging from dark speculative fiction to an awesome children's book about Halloween! Her work appears alongside mine in Issue 3.2 of The Dread Machine (which was a wild coincidence for a couple of friends who reconnected). Her work is insidious, kind of funny, and not exactly bloodless. "Be Prepared to Shoot the Nanny" in Metaphorosis is a dark delight.
